The United States Department of State has commented on the trilateral meeting in Munich between Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In the comment of State Department spokesman Ned Price, it was stated: “Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met today (18 February) in Munich with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to advance bilateral peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He acknowledged the significant progress the two sides have made over the past several months toward a peace agreement and European Union President Charles Michel’s offer to host the parties in Brussels.”
Price also noted that during the trilateral discussion, the Secretary of State underscored the need for free and open commercial and private transit through the Lachin corridor. He also called on the parties to open other transport routes.
