Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was re-elected on 24 March to the post of chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the country. This was reported by TRT television, citing the results of the vote held at the party’s 7th congress in Ankara.
All 1,428 delegates voted unanimously in favour of his candidacy. At the same time, Erdogan was the only candidate nominated for this post.
