Against the backdrop of “disputes” between the US and China over the origin of the causative agent of the “Corona” virus, Germany’s Federal Intelligence Service (BND) has presented its conclusions about the emergence of the virus, writes the website inopressa.ru.
According to the website, the American side alleges that the “Corona” virus “escaped” from a Chinese laboratory, but the Chinese deny this hypothesis and even question the claim that the infection originated in their country; moreover, recently China’s Foreign Minister Zhao Lijian stated that the American army “brought” the virus to their country.
The German Federal Intelligence Service this week informed deputies of its conclusions and spoke of an “information war” between Washington and Beijing. It was noted that the intelligence services have no evidence that the virus was created in a laboratory. Researchers consider far more likely the hypothesis of the virus being transmitted from a bat to a human at a Chinese wildlife market. However, this still remains a theory.
In the Bundestag, the German Free Democratic Party wants to create an investigative committee that would study the origin and spread of SARS-CoV-2 in China, considered the starting point of the pandemic. It is known that the working group should include independent experts who would have additional powers.
