The Armenian Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in collaboration with the Digital Library of Armenian Literature of the American University of Armenia, is pleased to announce that the printed core legacy of Hagop Oshagan, one of the giants of Western Armenian literature, is now fully available online in an open and free format.

This collaboration aims to keep pace with the digital and technological world, taking into account the need for accessibility. One of the main goals of the project is to make this wealth and collective heritage available to everyone in a free and online format, ensuring its accessibility and affordability, while at the same time contributing to its preservation, dissemination, and transmission to future generations.

Thanks to this project, more than thirty books by Hagop Oshagan have been digitized, including Hamapatker Arevmtahay Kraganutyan (Panorama of Western Armenian Literature) in all its volumes, Zugakshir Arevelahay yev Arevmtahay Kraganutyan (Parallel of Eastern and Western Armenian Literatures), Khonarhner (The Humble Ones), Angghin Gtsootsin Dak (Under the Vulture’s Beak), and more. All materials have been digitized not only by scanning but also in a text-searchable format, allowing searches within the text.

All materials are available on the website of the Digital Library of Armenian Literature at: https://digilib.aua.am/am/ՅԱԿՈԲ ՕՇԱԿԱՆ/library/553
