Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, has left for his homeland for consultations. This was reported by Azerbaijani media outlets.
According to the Iranian “Mehr” agency, the ambassador met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
The ambassador’s consultations with the minister are taking place amid a new political tension between Azerbaijan and Iran, Iran’s military exercises containing threats directed at Azerbaijan, and an atmosphere of new attacks and threats. Mousavi presented to Iran’s Foreign Minister the results of his two-day negotiations with Azerbaijani officials.
