Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has announced that he will travel to Russia and the countries of the Caucasus region next week.
“I plan to leave for the Caucasus and Russia. Usually, I do not announce this, but I believe that the dates for visits to Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia and Georgia have been set,” the Iranian minister was quoted as saying by the ISNA agency.
He added that negotiations are also underway with Turkey. “Last night I had a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. I intend to travel to countries that can work together to help resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis and the issue of peace and stability in the region,” Zarif added.
