Israel’s government has voted in favor of imposing a three-week quarantine, reports RIA Novosti.
As the publication writes, the government’s decision is to take effect from 18 September at 14:00.
On 11 September, the government commission on the coronavirus proposed imposing a full lockdown during the Jewish holidays, which begin on 18 September.
The proposals include restrictions on the movement of citizens and the closure of educational institutions, restaurants and cafes. The restrictions do not apply to the closure of essential production facilities, the government’s press service reports.
