The heirs of renowned Armenian writer Kostan Zaryan have donated the writer’s manuscript archive to the Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran. This was stated on the Matenadaran’s Facebook page.
“On 24 July, the heirs of Kostan Zaryan donated to the Mashtots Matenadaran the manuscript archive of the renowned Armenian writer, poet, novelist and art critic Zaryan, as well as the unpublished and published handwritten and typewritten materials of their father, architect Armen Zaryan, written in various languages on architecture, urban planning and art. The purpose of the donation is to preserve, archive, study, publish, make public and digitize the entire handwritten and typewritten unpublished and published wealth of Kostan Zaryan’s literary, art-critical, epistolary, notational and biographical works.”
It should also be noted that the archive is not yet complete with this donation. In the future, Zaryan’s archives located in other countries will also be collected and brought to Armenia, to be preserved in the Mashtots Matenadaran.”
