Russia’s Defense Minister Shoigu has reported to Putin on the liberation of Mariupol. According to him, at the time of the siege of Mariupol, the number of the Ukrainian Armed Forces grouping and foreign mercenaries was about 8,100 people.
Shoigu also stated that more than two thousand armed fighters are blockaded in the area of the Azovstal plant.
According to Russia’s Defense Minister, despite the resistance of the armed fighters, more than 142,000 civilians have been evacuated in Mariupol, and all hostages in the port have been released.
Shoigu said that Russia’s armed forces will need three to four days to complete operations at Azovstal, where the militants are blockaded.
According to him, the entire city of Mariupol is now under the control of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
