Ted Lieu, a member of the House of Representatives, wrote this on his Twitter page. “Now is the most opportune moment for the US to recognize the Armenian Genocide. For quite some time, presidents such as Donald Trump have been afraid to recognize the historical reality, out of respect for Turkey. Turkey no longer deserves our respect or assistance,” the congressman wrote.
