United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken has appointed Philip Reeker as the US representative in the Caucasian negotiations and co-chair of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group. This was announced by the press service of the US Department of State.
The Department of State also confirmed that it is ready to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in the negotiations for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
It was noted that Co-Chair Reeker will interact with partners such as the European Union and, in his role as co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, will contribute to direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that previously the American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group was Andrew Schofer.
