In the last 24 hours, 104 rockets have been fired from Gaza toward Israel; most of them were launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, with a small participation by Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed on Wednesday morning.
As The Jerusalem Post reported, in response, Israel retaliated with approximately 16 airstrikes, mainly against Hamas positions, as the group bears responsibility for what takes place in Gaza.
Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said that despite the ceasefire that began around 5:30 a.m., “all options are on the table” if any Palestinian group fires additional rockets toward Israel.
