Paris will invest all its efforts to reach a political solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. This was stated by France’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian during a speech in the country’s parliament, reports Sputnik-Armenia.
The Minister noted that the events taking place on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border are concerning, especially since the clashes occurred not on the Karabakh border, but on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“There can be no military solution. A political solution must be found, and I hope that it will be possible to find one,” said the Minister.
He also recalled that France is part of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, which deals with the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
