The presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed the Syrian issue and noted the constructive nature of relations between the two countries aimed at a settlement. This was reported by the RIA Novosti agency.
“The constructive nature of cooperation between Russia and Turkey aimed at the further stabilisation of Syria was noted. They spoke of the intention to continue coordinated work to advance the intra-Syrian dialogue within the framework of the Constitutional Committee, as well as to wage an uncompromising fight against the remnants of terrorist groups in a number of regions of Syria,” the statement said.
