Russia is ready to conduct a constructive dialogue on issues of strategic stability and international security and hopes that the United States will show reasonableness and sobriety. This was stated by Alexei Drobinin, director of the foreign policy planning department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“The actions of our adversaries in the field of military buildup, as well as conceptual changes, are being monitored. Russia and the United States are the two largest nuclear powers. And we believe that we bear a special responsibility with the United States for the preservation of strategic stability and international security,” he said.
Drobinin noted that there is no question of the need for Russia’s interaction with the Americans. Global stability and the well-being of all humanity depend on such interaction.
The only problem is that there is no readiness on the other side to conduct a constructive dialogue on these truly most important topics for the whole world. Drobinin added that such readiness exists on the Russian side, and he expressed hope that the American partners will demonstrate reasonableness and sobriety.
