Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had a telephone conversation with Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, during which the situation in Syria was discussed. As reported by the TASS agency, this was announced to journalists by the Russian Defense Ministry.
“The heads of the military departments had a substantive discussion regarding the situation in Syria, paying attention to cooperation within the framework of the joint commission aimed at studying issues related to facts of ceasefire violations, as well as other issues of mutual interest,” the Russian agency’s statement said.
