Turkey has opened two offices in Afrin to register Turkmen settlers who wish to move to Artsakh. This is reported by Human Rights Organization – Afrin – Syria.
“According to numerous sources from Afrin, the Turkish authorities have recently opened two offices in the city center to receive families of Turkmen settlers who wish to register within the framework of preparations for resettlement in the Artsakh region, with the aim of resettling them in territories recently occupied by the Azerbaijani army.
The same sources have confirmed that the first office is located in the Popular Credit Bank center, in the old quarter of Afrin, which is now a Turkish intelligence center, while the second office is located in the former Kurdish “Ronahi printing house,” in the vicinity of the former hospital in the New Afrin quarter, which is also a Turkish intelligence center.
According to eyewitnesses, in these two offices there is a large number of Turkmen families, especially Arab Bedouins from the Syrian province of Homs, who declare their Turkish roots, something that testifies to the fact that data concerning families is being collected in preparation for their transfer to Azerbaijan.
The sources have also noted that one of the office heads is Abu Tarwan, an agent of Turkish intelligence, while the second office is headed by a certain Turkmen named Hirun, from one of the villages of the Al-Raai, Azaz district, which is located on Turkey’s border, north of the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Turkish intelligence and the “Gray Wolves” terrorist groups are coordinating the resettlement program of Turkmen families together with pro-Turkish, mainly Syrian Turkmen armed groups, such as Sultan Murad, Suleyman Shah, al-Hamzat, and others.”
