The Turkish “Bayraktar” attack drone is an easy target for anti-aircraft missile systems. Pavel Sozinov, chief architect of the “Almaz-Antey” aerospace defence company, expressed this opinion in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The ‘Bayraktar’ is, on the whole, a target typical of an anti-aircraft missile system. It is a large target, practically an aircraft with a mass of 650 kg. It is quite vulnerable because it flies rather slowly,” Sozinov said.
According to him, to fight the “Bayraktars” one must spot it at the right time and strike it before it is able to use its armament.
The “Almaz-Antey” aerospace defence company is a leading Russian company engaged in the production of systems for combating all types of aerospace attack weapons, such as the “Tor”, “Buk” and S-400 systems.
