UN Secretary-General António Guterres has warned against the use of nuclear weapons in the war in Ukraine, dw.com has reported.
“The use of so-called tactical nuclear weapons is absolutely unacceptable, it is time to step back from the brink,” Guterres said at the opening of an emergency session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
“Over the past year, we have not only witnessed suffering and destruction, but it is becoming increasingly clear that all of this could take a turn for the worse,” Guterres said.
