All tourists must have a document with a negative PCR test result when entering Georgia. This is reported by Aliq.ge.
The rule will apply both at land borders and at airports. Previously, visitors only presented proof of having received the full dose of vaccination.
As for unvaccinated foreigners, they too can travel to Georgia by land and air routes, provided they have a document with a negative test result; on the 3rd day of their stay in the country they are required to take a second test at one of the Georgian medical centres.
Citizens of the EU, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Israel, Switzerland, Bahrain, the USA, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Canada, Kuwait, China, South Korea, Moldova and Oman can visit Georgia with a negative test result.
When leaving the country, they must have the negative result of the second test, otherwise they will be fined. If a visitor falls ill with the coronavirus during their stay in Georgia, the costs of their treatment are covered by travel insurance.
Let us recall that Georgia will open its land borders to visitors from 1 June.
