The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has offered the US to move the base located in the Incirlik district of Turkey’s Adana province to the UAE.
According to Turkish media, the Crown Prince took this step due to disagreements with Turkey, particularly because of their opposing positions in the Libya crisis.
It is reported that the offer has already been sent to the Pentagon.
It should be noted that the Incirlik military air base is used by the US and Turkish air forces. The air base is located 8 km from the city of Adana. It serves as the eastern military base of the US and NATO in Europe.
