Erdogan has demanded that his naval forces sink one of the Greek ships. The German periodical “Die Welt” wrote about this, citing its military sources.
In the article “The War Erdogan Calculated,” the following expression was included: “If it were left to Erdogan’s discretion, Turkey would have already sunk one of the Greek ships.”
According to Ermenihaber, the periodical noted that days ago Erdogan demanded that Turkish generals sink a ship belonging to Greece, but in such a way that no one would be harmed. That proposal, however, was rejected by high-ranking Turkish military officials.
At that time, they received a second similar proposal — to strike one of the Greek military aircraft — but this proposal was also rejected by the generals.
