Erdogan’s Bodyguard Commits Suicide

The bodyguard of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has committed suicide, leaving a note about injuries and threats. It was discovered in the deceased’s home, Cumhuriyet reports. His body was found by colleagues, who, seeing that he had not come to work and that his phone was switched off, went to his home. “You know very well how to wound, threaten, and dismiss your employees; you humiliate them and call them liars. The bodyguard of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has committed suicide, leaving a note about injuries and threats. It was discovered in the deceased’s home, Cumhuriyet reports.

His body was found by colleagues, who, seeing that he had not come to work and that his phone was switched off, went to his home.

“You know very well how to wound, threaten, and dismiss your employees; you humiliate them and call them liars. Every man has dignity, and I did not tolerate those words,” wrote Erdogan’s bodyguard Bulut in the note he left.  

He also wrote that he did not want anyone from his leadership to attend his funeral.

Opposition Republican People’s Party deputy Murat Bakan has sent an inquiry to Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu to determine how many police officers have committed suicide.

According to him, in all cases of police suicides that have become known to the public, the officers complained of persecution by the leadership.
