Robert Menendez, Chairman of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, announced that he has introduced a Senate resolution condemning Azerbaijan’s attack on Armenia.
“I am proud to introduce a Senate resolution condemning Azerbaijan’s resumption of military attacks against Armenia and its disregard for human life. It is time for the US to back up its words of support with decisive action by cutting off military aid to Azerbaijan,” Menendez wrote on his Twitter page.
Meanwhile, from the official website of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, we learn that the resolution calls for ending US military support to Azerbaijan, releasing Armenian prisoners, and considering the possibility of sanctions against Azerbaijan in connection with war crimes.
