Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has made a statement.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister stated that the operation Russia launched in Ukraine has escalated into a war, and that they have been compelled to implement the Montreux Convention regarding the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits, closing them to the warships of all belligerent parties.
