The US Embassy in Kyiv has called on Americans to leave Ukraine. The information was published on the website of the diplomatic mission.
“The US Embassy calls on US citizens to leave Ukraine using available ground transportation means, if it is safe to do so,” the statement said.
According to the statement, this measure is being taken in the coming days “due to the threat of alleged Russian strikes on civilian infrastructure and government institutions in Ukraine.”
It is worth recalling that in the early morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had made a decision to launch a special military operation against Ukraine, as the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics had requested assistance.
Military operations in Ukraine have been ongoing for 180 days now.
