The US, implementing heightened security measures, is preparing for the inauguration of the country’s 46th president.
The media report that US President-elect Joe Biden plans to sign more than a dozen executive orders after the inauguration ceremony on January 20, including orders to return to the Paris Agreement on climate and to lift the travel ban on predominantly Muslim countries. This was announced by the new chief of staff of the US administration, Ron Klain.
Biden’s campaign promises covered issues ranging from climate change to immigration and foreign policy.
Incidentally, in his last public address before leaving the office of US Vice President, Mike Pence called on the administration of President-elect Joe Biden to show “constant vigilance,” especially when it comes to US-China relations.
