A suspected Turkish spy, who was following critics of Turkish President Erdogan in the country, has been arrested in Austria. According to Korrespondent, this was announced by Austria’s Interior Minister Karl Nehammer.
“Turkish espionage has no place in Austria. It must be clear that we will not tolerate such an approach,” the Austrian minister’s words were quoted by the Die Presse newspaper.
The minister added that Austria will initiate diplomatic steps in connection with the arrest, and the judicial authorities will bring charges of espionage.
As Nehammer stated, the suspect was identified a week ago during the investigation of the unrest that took place in Vienna between Kurdish and Turkish nationalist demonstrators.
