Baku Sends Protest Note to Washington over Artsakh Foreign Minister’s Visit to US

Official Baku has sent a protest note to Washington in connection with the visit of Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan to the United States. According to Rusarminfo, this was announced by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Leyla Abdullayeva. According to her, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the US conveyed the Azerbaijani side’s protest to the State Department.   “Corresponding letters have been sent to the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, the leadership, the chairmen of committees, as well as the American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group,” she said. It should be recalled that Masis Mayilyan was previously present in the chamber of the US House of Representatives during the discussion of H.R. 296, the resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide. After the vote, he had the opportunity to speak with the resolution’s co-authors Frank Pallone and Anna Eshoo and express gratitude to them.
