Clashes between Israel and Palestine continue, despite calls for a ceasefire. As military operations intensify, the number of dead and wounded grows.
As a result of the clashes that began last week, the death toll on the Palestinian side has reached 212, of whom 61 are children and 34 are women; about 1,500 Palestinians have been wounded, while on the Israeli side the death toll is 10, including 2 children.
Writing about this, BBC News has published a series of photographs presenting the consequences and destruction of the air strikes of recent days, as well as people’s suffering — the loss of loved ones and the wartime situation.
The photographs depict Palestinians living in Gaza in recent days, particularly after the rocket fire that took place over the weekend.
The Israel Defense Forces continues to carry out air strikes on the homes of commanders of the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza and other structures that, in the Israeli side’s view, are used for military purposes.
