According to WHO data, the number of deaths from the coronavirus worldwide has reached 2,918,752, of which 10,712 were recorded in the past day.
The WHO only takes into account officially confirmed data provided by countries.
More than 34 percent of the new infection cases recorded over the past 24 hours were in Europe (222,804), second place was taken by North and South America (184,717), and third place by Southeast Asia (164,704).
The highest numbers of infection cases were recorded in the United States, Brazil, India, France, Russia, Great Britain, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Poland and Colombia.
